Scroll your own team page. Scroll the partner list at the firm you're pitching against. Every face there is making a decision for the viewer before a single word gets read. A cropped wedding photo, a webcam grab, or a headshot from three jobs ago is still speaking on your behalf. It's just not saying what you'd choose.

After nearly 20 years as a working actor, Jonathan understands what it takes to look natural when a camera is pointed at you. He gives clear direction on expression, posture, and body language so you come across as confident, capable, and approachable without feeling stiff or overly posed.
The session is short on purpose. Most people booking this are fitting it between meetings or a busy day, and the shortest path to a good photo is a photographer who knows what they are after before you sit down.

Most professionals arrive worried they'll look stiff, awkward, or unlike themselves. That's the normal starting point, whatever your title is. Jonathan coaches you through expression, body language, and posing, and the goal is natural and approachable rather than posed. Your only job is to show up on time. You're paying for professional direction.

Jon is a fantastic photographer! I felt very relaxed and enjoyed the session. He's also very skilled and technically knowledgeable, and made the whole process easy and comfortable.
Such a great experience with Jonathan. I needed an updated headshot for my LinkedIn and Slack, and Jonathan absolutely nailed it. The photos were exactly what I was looking for, and he made sure to take plenty of shots so I could choose the one I loved most. He also gave really helpful posing guidance throughout, which made the whole process easy and comfortable. I was a little nervous to come in and have professional photos taken but he made me feel very at-ease.
Jonathan is one of a kind. He went above and beyond in making me feel comfortable for my professional headshot. I was very nervous in front of the camera and he was able to coach me into calmness and confidence-- this is a gift for any person in my shoes!
My experience with SoVane was absolutely fantastic. Jon created a relaxed and positive atmosphere, while also staying laser-focused on my goals for the session. I walked out feeling great about myself and even better about my shots! 10/10, highly recommend.

Most people feel that way before a session. Give Jonathan 20 minutes and you'll see the difference.
Your welcome email covers wardrobe, and we review your options when you arrive.
One look covers LinkedIn and your company page. Two makes sense if you want a formal option and a relaxed one, or if you're switching between a corporate profile and a personal brand.
Yes. You review the images on-site and choose your favorites there.
For one look - we generally are done in 20 minutes. But safely block off 30 minutes in case we go a little over due to technical issues or we review the shots and want to shoot a couple more with an idea. For two looks, blocking off an hour is safe. Again we usually finish within the given timeframe. If you add portraits, add about 30 minutes to your session.
My process is designed to prevent the need for reshoots. Through our communication, my expression coaching, and reviewing images together during the session, we ensure we're creating exactly what you need before you leave the studio. In the rare event of a technical issue, I'll take care of it.
Life happens. Your 30% deposit is fully refundable if you cancel at least 7 days before your session. Cancellations made within 7 days or rescheduling requests made with less than 72 hours' notice will result in the forfeiture of your deposit.
